Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Trials
Motivation: My grandfather had suffered with dementia for decades, we loved him very much. I still remember how his memory started to degrade, at very begining, he only has his memory of his early days and eventually he forgot everyone except my grandmother. I personally feel the pain of losing a loved one with dementia and the challenges of caring someone with Alzheimer's. I want to contribute my data analysis skills to the commutity who has loved one with dementia and are curious to current drug development.
Project: Visualization of Clincal Trials Timeline (Tools: Pandas, PostgreSQL, Bokeh, JavaScript, Regex)
Goal: To create a dashboard measuring drug developments related to a specific disease plus identifying companies' competitiveness on drug developments
- Studied Clinical Trials and its data structure to identify tables and fields are required for the project
- Quaried data from AACT SQL database and explored data in PostgreSQL
- Identified drug's name and cleaned excess information within the column of drug using Regex
